Tana Toraja is grown in Sulawesi, Indonesia in a place called "The Land of Heavenly Kings". Coffee production in Sulawesi was brought and control by the Netherlands. In 1976 a Japanese-Indonesian company known as Toarco introduced the washed-process. Toarco apply Japanese rice driers for the wash process, which lends the beans a unique flavor profile.
Toarco beans are produced at exacting standards and every stage of production is carefully overseen and regulated to ensure the highest quality. Its heavier body and lower to medium acidity makes Tana Toraja excellent for our Full City roast and espresso brew.
Cupping Notes: A smooth, full bodied with layered syrupy flavors that hint at sugar cane and melon, slightly herbaceous notes and a moderate citric and tangy acidity.
