Coffee and Sausage Gravy

Coffee and sausage might sound as a bizarre combination but trust us its heaven in your mouth.


1 lb of ground sage sausage or turkey sausage
1 large onion
1 cup of milk
3/4 teaspoon xanthan gum
1/4 cup of freshly brewed Cubico Coffee Pacific Fire
Salt and peeper to taste


  1. In a large skillet over medium heat brown the sausage and the onion. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Pour milk. Season with salt and peeper.
  3. Add Cubico Coffee Pacific Fire to the mixture.
  4. Let it simmer for a couple of minutes.
  5. Over low heat, slowly sprinkle xanthan gum evenly. Stir until the gray starts to thicken.
  6. If desired, save some sausages to accompany your meal.
  7. Serve hot over mash potatoes or biscuits and enjoy!

Note: Xanthan gum is a natural thickener, but it takes longer to react than flour, so be patient. If your gravy turns pasty just act more milk until you get the desired consistency.
