In the northern highlands of Peru, members of CENFROCAFE grow coffee by using organic fertilization and sustainable agricultural practices. CENFROCAFE is a cooperative with more than 1,900 families located in ten districts within the lush region of Cajamarca.
CENFROCAFE is Peru's second largest coffee grower. The cooperative have increase production and improve the coffee’s quality by keeping coffee plants healthy and providing training and information. Coffee farmers carefully pick the cherries, depulp, wash and dry their beans. They are able to produce one of the finest coffees in the country.
Cupping Notes: A smooth body, intense citrus and lemon acidity, followed by nutty and toffee sweetness, with mild herbal notes in the finish.
